2025. The Basilica of San Luca 📍, built between the 17th and 18th centuries, stands on Colle della Guardia and is a symbol of Bologna. It features grand Baroque architecture and the world’s longest portico with 666 arches connecting it to the city. Inside, it holds a revered icon of the Madonna and Child of Byzantine origin. The basilica is a major pilgrimage site with panoramic views over Bologna and the Emilia-Romagna plain.
